Mistaken are those who think that Lithuanians are not united. There are a lot of facts in our history that claim otherwise: preserved language, the Baltic Road, song and dance festivals, basketball. All we, Lithuanians, need is an incentive, and we will "rock the world".
"Lithuanian Days" sets out to be that incentive. Why are we, Lithuanians, worse than the Irish, whose green colonies paint the streets of the city? Or the Polish, whose eagles "fly" during their national festivals?
Indeed, we are fewer. But if we don't separate ourselves by our status, age, experience, hobbies and acquired wealth, but instead all gather in one place, then not only would we surprise ourselves, but other nations would wonder as well: Gee, that's some Lithuanians! Those are truly Lithuanian days! There are so many of them! How united they all are!
Happy and with smiles on our decorated faces, with flags in our hands and spirit of unity in our hearts, we will welcome and entertain each other and our guests. And, overcome by excitement, we will hear in our souls:
WE WERE BORN LITHUANIANS, LITHUANIANS WE WANT TO STAY!
